Poms
So I have been competing in Cheerleading for the best part of 17 years, and 2015 will be the first year I don't. (When i say Cheerleading I don't mean the sideline dance style, I mean the competitive gymnastic/pom stuff !!) I loved Cheerleading much like an addictive abusive relationship, we had our highs, lows, bruises, chipped bones, 1st places, country representation but feel now I need another adventure and something which I can train in my own time. I wouldn't of changed the time I spent training for Cheerleading as it has taught me so much, and recommend it for any young girl.So what next....?
Dumbbells
I have been training in the gym on and off since I was 15, I'm now 24 and like most gym girls I spend my Instagram/Twitter time admiring and aspiring the fitness models of the social fitness world (Michelle Lewin being one). This has lead to uncover of the underworld of the Bikini/ Figure competitions.
Now don't get me wrong I have seen them before and often thought of the stereotype roast ripped Turkeys burnt and covered in oil. But after being part of a highly stereotyped Sport like Cheerleading, I know not to go by stereotypes and prove people wrong that muscles are hot not manly or resemble a roasting Turkey..

So in later in the year I am looking to go and watch my first figure competition to get a taste, to see what its all about and see if i'm up for the challenge. I love training, and my diet isn't too bad! Luckily IF I want to compete - I can train whenever and where ever, which is what I need at the moment especially with work (Late meetings, on the road etc). So lets see how it goes!
